Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred in the 16000 block of Elizabeth Joyce Drive in the Steele Creek area on Wednesday afternoon. According to WCNC Charlotte, a 15-year-old was injured in the incident, which was reported at 2:36 p.m. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under active investigation by CMPD.
